Sponsored Content Disclosure
Last updated: 1 January 2025.
Zentime Digest is an independent editorial platform. Our editorial team produces the majority of our content independently, without commercial involvement. This page explains how we handle the minority of content that is supported by commercial partners — and the standards that govern it.
Why Transparency Matters to Us
Our readers come to Zentime Digest because they trust that the content here is honest and practical. That trust is not something we take lightly. If commercial considerations have played any role in the creation of a piece of content, you deserve to know — clearly, before you read it. That is our commitment.
Types of Commercial Content We Publish
Sponsored Articles
A sponsored article is a piece of content commissioned by a third-party brand or organisation and published on Zentime Digest on a paid basis. While we may write the article or work closely with the sponsor on its content, the sponsor has paid for its placement. All sponsored articles are labelled with a visible "Sponsored" or "Paid Partnership" designation at the top of the article, before any editorial content begins.
Featured Content Packages
Some brands pay to have their content or messaging featured more prominently on the platform — for example, in category hubs or on the homepage. Any featured placement that involves commercial payment is identified accordingly.
Custom Editorial Partnerships
Larger commercial collaborations — including multi-article series or long-term brand partnerships — are handled on an individual basis. All content produced within such partnerships is subject to the same labelling and editorial standards as any other commercial content.
What We Will Not Do
There are things we do not do, regardless of the fee involved:
- We will not publish content that makes false, misleading, or unsubstantiated health claims
- We will not present sponsored content as independent editorial without clear labelling
- We will not allow a commercial partner to instruct us to remove or alter our health disclaimer or editorial notices
- We will not publish sponsored content from brands whose products or messaging we consider harmful, irresponsible, or inconsistent with our readers' interests
- We will not accept payment to write reviews that misrepresent a product's qualities
- We will not place links within independent editorial content on a paid basis without disclosure
Editorial Independence
Commercial partnerships do not influence our independent editorial content. Articles that are not commercially supported are written, edited, and published solely on editorial merit. The views of sponsors are not adopted as the views of Zentime Digest.
Our Editorial Policy sets out the standards that apply to all content on this platform, commercial and independent alike.
Regulatory Compliance
All commercial content published on Zentime Digest complies with the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising and Direct and Promotional Marketing (CAP Code) and the guidelines of the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). We operate within the disclosure requirements set out by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) for online content.
How to Identify Sponsored Content
Any article or content unit on Zentime Digest that involves commercial support will include one or more of the following labels, clearly visible to the reader:
- "Sponsored" — paid placement; content produced or co-produced with commercial input
- "Paid Partnership with [Brand Name]" — content created in collaboration with a named commercial partner
- "In association with [Brand Name]" — content supported by a brand that has had a role in its creation or distribution
If you read an article on Zentime Digest without any of these labels, it is independent editorial content. No payment has been received for its creation or placement.
